Buns and Braids: A Tutorial

Hello, lovelies. Do you ever get tired of a messy bun or a ponytail sitting on top of your head to get the slaving summer heat off the back of your neck? I do. So I did one more step to an easy hairstyle to spice it up a bit. Take a look after the jump.

What you need:
Bobby pins
One hair elastic
Hairspray (optional)

1. Tie your hair in a high ponytail at the crown of your head
2. Separate one 1-2" chunk of hair from the ponytail and clip it away for later
3. Twist the ponytail until it starts raveling on itself
4. Twist the ponytail around to form a base and wrap the remaining hair around it. Secure with a hair elastic, and bobby pin everything in place.
5. Take the left out strand of hair and braid it all the way the end. 
6. Wrap around the base of the bun and bobby pin in place
7. Lightly douse your head in hairspray to ensure everything's in place, then you're done!
